Desert Falls Country Club in Palm Desert was designed in 1984 by Ron Fream. His championship golf course designs are well known for being very unique as he has designed courses all around the world (in over 50 countries) including championship experiences in Bali, France and notably for the Sultan of Brunei.

Desert Falls earns a 145 slope rating from the back tees, putting Desert Falls among the five highest slope rated courses in the Coachella Valley. Along with being listed as one of the top ten courses by the SCPGA, Desert Falls netted a four star rating from Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play” based on course condition, rate of play, staff and overall value.

Desert Falls has previously hosted the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Open, the Senior Classic and the Don Drysdale Hall of Fame Golf Classic. This course is also a PGA qualifying course making it a bucket list playing experience for any visitor or local.

Desert Falls Country Club is a visually stunning experience with the San Jacinto Mountains in the background and beautiful water features that will surely challenge even the low handicap players. With natural desert scenery, this 18-hole championship golf course is simply breathtaking. Many consider it to be one of the best golf courses in the desert. The 7,000-yard, link-style, par-72 course features superbly manicured greens and includes 5 thoughtful tee placements to accommodate golfers of all skill and ability on every hole. Playing Desert Falls is an irresistible opportunity to play one of the Coachella Valley’s truly great golf outings.

As in all Ron Fream course designs, there are several uniquely integrated signature holes at Desert Falls that include: The 200 plus yard par-3 No. 14 is considered one of the most challenging in the desert. It features a gigantic 18,000-square-foot green, known as one of the largest greens in North America, nearly the size of three average greens on most other courses. The 9th hole is a par 5 that offers a risk and reward temptation that will challenge longer hitters into hitting over the lake on the second shot to reach the green. The 18th is a very tough par 4 that will beguile even low handicap players at 437 yards. This hole shares the lake which also protects the 9th fairway and is protected in front by water with deep sand bunkers waiting to receive errant shots left or right of the smallish green.

The fairways on this course are contoured with natural undulation and are always in pristine condition.

The Desert Falls Grill is open to serve your favorite beverage before, after or at the turn. The dining area is inviting and comfortable if you would like to enjoy great food and a comfortable club house atmosphere. The patio is a great place to relax after your round enjoying the stunning views and food or beverage.
